Why I started Giving Hearts Foundation?
Hi! I’m Meher, and I’m 15 years old. Ever since I was little, I’ve loved baking and sharing with people. Whether it was sharing my baked brownies or banana breads, donating clothes, making care packages, or volunteering at food drives, I always felt happiest when I was giving to others. But one day, I realized something—there are so many people who want to help, but they don’t always know how.
That’s why I started the Giving Hearts Foundation.
How It All Started
For as long as I can remember, my family and I have been giving back in small ways. We’d donate toys during the holidays, bring food to shelters, and even help friends organize fundraisers for important causes. But one day, I started thinking:
What if there was an easier way for more people to give?
I noticed that a lot of my friends wanted to help but didn’t know where to start. And honestly, I get it—sometimes it feels like you have to do something huge to make an impact. But the truth is, even the smallest acts of kindness can change someone’s life.
That’s when I told my parents my idea: I wanted to start a nonprofit that would help connect people who want to give with those who need it most. I didn’t know where to begin, but they believed in me and helped turn my idea into reality.
What We Do
At Giving Hearts Foundation, we focus on three main things:
Helping Families in Need – We donate food, clothes, and basic supplies to people who don’t have enough.
Supporting Education – We provide school supplies, scholarships, and mentorship programs for kids who need extra support.
Encouraging Giving – We want to show people (especially young people like me!) that giving back doesn’t have to be hard. Even small acts of kindness—like writing a note to a lonely neighbor or donating $5 to a food bank—can make a huge difference.
Why This Matters to Me
I started Giving Hearts Foundation because I believe that kindness is contagious. When you help someone, it doesn’t just impact their life—it inspires them to help the next person. Imagine what the world would be like if more people gave out of the goodness of their hearts.
I want to show that no matter how young (or old!) you are, you have the power to make a difference.
How You Can Help
If you’ve ever wanted to give back but weren’t sure how, this is your chance. You can:
Donate – Even a little bit goes a long way!
Volunteer – Help us pack donations, organize drives, or spread awareness.
Share Our Mission – The more people know about us, the more impact we can make!
Let’s make a difference—one heart at a time.
